You have solid Magento experience and want to take the next step: more responsibility, more architecture, a product of your own. At RidersDeal you'll learn alongside a developer who has known our shop for ten years, and you'll grow into technical leadership.

RidersDeal is an online shop for equestrian sports with 100,000 products and a community of 500,000 riders. Operations are stable, processes and KPIs are in place.

Our stack
Magento 2 on Adobe Commerce Cloud, a move to Open Source is being evaluated, Hyvä under evaluation, Odoo (Python) as our ERP, Mollie, Power BI, Jira, AI tools such as Claude.

Your mission

  • You build features, integrations and performance improvements in our Magento 2 shop, front end and back end.
  • Step by step, you take over code reviews and technical decisions.
  • You get to know our architecture and our Odoo integration inside out and help evaluate a possible move to Magento Open Source.
  • You work closely with our external developers and our IT lead.
  • After 12 to 18 months, the goal is the Technical Lead role, with a matching salary increase.

Your profile

  • 2 to 4 years of Magento 2 development experience, ideally from an agency.
  • Solid PHP and object-oriented programming, experience with MySQL and with HTML, CSS and JavaScript in the Magento front end.
  • You want to take over an area of your own and be able to say: I'm responsible for this.
  • Open to new things: you enjoy working with AI tools and have basic Python skills, since our ERP Odoo is built on it.
  • You're not afraid to ask questions.
  • Good English or German.

We are a close-knit team, we enjoy working together and we have lunch together. That's why we're looking for someone who is there in person, joins the discussion and is part of the group. Usually you'll be with us in Unterhaching three days a week; we agree on the exact split together and flexibly.

Behind RidersDeal is a highly motivated team of around 40 employees, all working to provide our members with the best deals. What unites us all is a love for riding and horses. This passion enables our purchasing team to secure amazing deals at top prices.

Our back office team, responsible for general organization and customer communication, works every day to answer questions promptly and provide support in all matters. Our logistics team rolls up their sleeves to ensure orders reach our customers quickly.

We also place great importance on making the shopping experience as enjoyable as possible for our members, which is why we are constantly evolving. But that’s not all — our own brand, RidersChoice, has become one of Germany’s most well-known equestrian brands, representing top quality at fair prices.
